Sea strainer-27 fever
 

I want to add a sea strainer to a 03 27 fountain w a 496...what brand/type/style will fit best. Does any one have any reccomendations for a clean single engine setup. Pictures would be great. I would assume it would be a stringer mount.

I just installed sea strainers on my Fountain and after doing considerable research I decided on the CP Marine strainer.

It has a single knob to open it up, you don't need any tools, and it does not have any wing nuts to loose. It cost about $480.00, and mounts on the stringer. You can look through the lexan top and see that the water is circulating to the engine, so you would know if you weren't getting water just by looking.
