What should I ask for? 88' Fever 27 (29ft)

With twin 454/330's rebuilt in 05, new Livorsi gauges in 05, bravo drives, snap in carpet, clean interior (I would redo the sunpad this year), bimini top, cockpit cover, and full mooring cover. Bought it last year from the original owner. In 2 years before I bought it he handed me over some 22,000 in receipts for rebuilds and misc work. It has about 450 hrs on the boat and maybe 80-90 since rebuild. Just curious because I want to get into a cat. Thanks for your time

I sold my 90 for $24,500 I think to get rid of it so I could get into my Cig. I did not have the rebuilt engines or updated dash and just let it go because I was sick of messing with tire kickers.

Like everyone say's, the market sucks right now and it is worth what someone is willing to pay.

TexomaPowerboater 01-15-2008 08:27 AM

$28-29. What did you pay for it 2 years ago?

What the hell are you towing that thing with?

prostock85 01-15-2008 02:34 PM

I paid $ 22.5 in the dead of winter, it surveyed for $28.

I tow it with a 06 Trailblazer SS (its around 440 hp right now with a tuned stock LS2), it looks so low because of the way its sitting on the hill. The air suspension pumps it right back up.

Its also #003 of a supposed 3 built in 88

how fast does the boat run, how large are the gas tanks on the twin engined 27's, please keep me updated on what you might be lookin for out of it, i'm lookin to buy in the next couple months thank you

prostock85 01-15-2008 06:35 PM

It runs between 64 and 67 on gps with 3 people and 1/2 tank using the original 3 blade 25 pitch props, weather seems to make the most difference. I believe the tank is a 125 gallon.

Speeds are all in fresh water, only used it in salt/brackish for the NYC poker run where it seemed to pick up a few mph.

Even though everywhere documented it says this is a 27' it's LOA is actually 29'

mcprodesign 01-26-2008 08:32 PM

How many RPMS was it turning at 67 MPH..I'm looking to buy a 1990 for 25,750..I could close the deal on it but I wanted to know more about yours. How many twin 454 s were built in 90?Anyway .Thanks for your time : )

Just bought a 29'

I just bought a 1990 29' twins, without a trailer. Imaculate cond. $25 K. Its a buyers market. I am trying to sell a twin engine(another brand) and most people buying right now are scared of twins for the GAS prices. Just be patient, don't give it away.Summers Coming!!!!!

Is this boat pictured what everyone calls a Fountain 29..even though it is a Fountain 27 fever? I know I sound like a dm as

My dad Raced K boats when I was growing up and I always had a boat. Just not a Fountain.

I'm looking at one w freshwater cooling and fresh 454's for 25,750.Chad
