Speed of 1989 36' Fever

What would the theoretical speed of a 1989 36' Fountain Fever with 496 stroker motors, approximately 650HP each, and TRS drives spinning Mirage props be?

Just running through a hypothetical build in my head now that I have sold my 35' Cigarette and have a fresh pair of motors on the stands . . . and idle time :evilb:

And, would the 36' Fever run any better with TRS/Speedmaster II drives, as opposed to standard TRS drives?

Harry

this is a 1990 35 runs mid 80s with about that power on bravos

pullmytrigger 01-24-2008 09:43 PM

just what was the 36?......did it become the 35?.......the 38?.......model run was .....like 2 yrs?

MOBILEMERCMAN 01-24-2008 09:48 PM

The 36 became the 38. It was the first you could not walk around the cockpit. It had the wider cockpit and different cabin entry. Cosmic has a 35 it is a 10 meter with a platform.

Nice boat, looks like one that runs around the Thousand Island area and is docked at Bonnie Castle. Am I right here?

I thought it was the same boat. I'm right next door at Hutchinson's, I think we have met before.

That is quite the garage set up you have there as well, we should all have a toy box like that.

Didnt You have this up for sale or was it a friend on here that thought it might be?

cosmic12 01-26-2008 09:51 AM

if the money were right it could be bought.

pullmytrigger 01-26-2008 10:00 AM

Cosmic......that thing is sweet........!!!

how long did they make the 36 for....??

cosmic12 01-26-2008 11:57 AM

according to the reg it is a 33. Thats what they called the 35 in 90. It is perfect in every way and better than new. If someone were to try to restore one to its level I hate to think what it would cost.

Happy Belated Birthday, :party-smiley-051: missed you yesterday.

This one is exactly what it appears to be, I've seen it more than once.

HA! HA! HA! Thats just to dam funny LMAO. It is a 90 and I ain't going to argue with some newbe about it.:Whatever:

underpressure 01-28-2008 03:40 PM

My 1989 36 Fever (Attitude Adjustment) with Chief 502 motors stroked to 540, built as 540 engines making 575 horsepower, about 660 lb ft with TRS drives and labbed finished 4 blade bravo props saw 69.5 on its best day on a gps going to Key West in 2 and 3's. Most everyday about 67-68.

Also I don't beat my boats and I went through three BAM 850 transmissions and two TRS drives done at BAM in short order. I would put Konrads on if I kept it.

Man I laughed my Azz off at that :D Do you work for Mark? Did you have the anniver 35 that was there? I am not the owner of the 35, he is a very good friend of mine and he is on the board but doesn't like to post so I usually do it for him.

Yes I do work part time for Mark, and yes I "DID" have the '99 35 Anniversary Lightning in the boat house. Sold it last fall and purchased an '06 35 Lightning with 525 EFI's middle of November.

cosmic12 01-28-2008 08:11 PM

We thought thats who you were. You have talked with DM the owner of the 35 and maybe me but I don't think so. I had the 28 Active Thunder at Bonnie last year yellow orange red purple. I know Mark well and bouhgt a 290 Dancer from him a few years ago. small world :D

blownincome 01-29-2008 05:18 AM

Cosmic
I had a 90 that I thought was clean This one is on par with the one I had great boat! Its hard to finance boats over 10 years old and harder still as time goes on..went through it when I sold mine ... She is a beauty!!!Nice job!
Do you know what your friend is looking for Number wise?
Just wondering at this point.
