Hi !
Have you experience about Fouuntain Lightning 35 and 38 with Mercruiser 496 ho engines 425 hp. What is the top speed and cruise speed and what would be the fuel consumption specs correspondingly.

I have the 38 lighting with the 496 ho. Top end 85mph
cruise speed around 60mph economical fuel milage

2006 35 Lightning (twin step) 496 HO's 79mph (GPS Verified) and on my factory test sheet (about as good as it gets).

Fmconstruction not sure I buy your top end #.

I have an 06 Lightening with 496S top speed with gps is 81
with all the right condtions. speed report stated 83? The 496s
are very reliable and as econimical as you can with the HP
rating, much better than the 525s. Cruise is 55@ about 3800
aproxx. Great hole shot and good mid range x/cell wit a 32P
prop. Still wanting to step up to 38 with stag 600s, we will have to see.
