29 w/extension box
 

has anyone put a extension box on a 29 single step bottom? I need a new drive, looking for options ie: ex-box shorter lower anything for more MPH. Thanks

In theory you already have an extension box with the notched transom. Adding another, having to modify the steering, and all that goes with it, not to mention setup time is a pain. Its much easier to just add a 2 in. shorter drive and get similar results. Their are several running shorter drive heights on a 29 Fountain that are on OSO. Im sure they will add their experiences to help.

On a 2003, 29 Fever, X is already probably 19.5" which is 2" higher than earlier 29's (2000 and earlier time frame). Going another 2" higher seems like alot.
