My 27 used to chine walk at 73mph. Not 71, not 72, but 73!

More accurate than my GPS.

Just powered thru it then it was all good.

The 29 is a GREAT hull. I have riden in and driven several and they are hard to beat. There are several that are running triple digits.

The 27 is just too small.

In the last 7 years we have had a 27 single step with HP500Carb, ran 76 mph, but started chine walking around 74 mph, a 29 with 500EFI, a 35 twin step with pair of 500EFI's, a 29 with twins, and a 29 with 575SCi. The 35 was by far the nicest, but as we quickly realized, not much fun as a trailer boat, since we trailered it everywhere we went every weekend. I would buy another 29 single, probably 525EFI or bigger, in a heartbeat. I think they are an ideal choice, especially for a trailer boat. The 2' is very noticable between the 27 and 29, IMO.

thanks,

I think I'm not leaning towards a 29, since I plan on trailering every weekedn, and i like the fact theya re seeing triple digits. I also will end up running on the st lawrence quite a bit and in some bigger water the odd time.

ive always like the stout look of the 27s for some reason. anybody ever putt a 700/nxt in a 27 or 29? that could be a badass package!

Since I am kinda new.... what do you mean the 35 was not much fun as a trailer boat? Is it hard to get on/off the trailer?
