Bench racing.... 27 fever how fast?
 

I have a co-worker who had a 27' Fever that ran 100mph (reguarly, with friends on board)... :grinser010:..... How much power would this take and how stable is this hull at this speed?.... I asked him what power he was running and he told me "a big block" (sooooo i guess his numbers make sense?!)... Just curious what these speeds would entail with these hulls.... I have a measly 68 mph boat.....

You asked what it would take to break 100...It would take a motor like that, It is not in a boat only on a dyno. I do not know the horsepower

must have had a really big bbc and a blower, but you said nothing of a blower

appp. no mention of a blower otherwise i may have swallowed it.. also was b.s.ing with him the other day and mentioned left hand throttle, did reggie ever make a fever or anything else for that matter with right hand throttle?..

Jim Valko has a 27 that he used to bring to LOTO for the shootout. When he had a blower on it, he was over 100. Took the blower off, and still running in the 90s. I just wouldn't want to be in the boat at that speed. He had done extensive engine work on his boat, as well as a different drive configuration.

I had a 27 with a 572, standard drive and only ran in the low 80s.

I can tell you appp boat is a handfull at 90 but it was one hell of a ride and still had more rome to go but not with me at the throttle
