Its not a 35, but this is how Fountain mounted mine on a 38 Lightning.

Not the best pic but I have mine on either side of the drain plug, they are Eddie Marine 1-1/4 slip on style and its a straight shot into the strainers. If I had it to do over I would spend the extra money and get the adjustable version.

Racer,
Those are the ones, it took too many trips to the water and hours of grinding and filing to get the right length & angle. My Imco's are the -2 shorties and are for sale in the classifieds if you know anyone who might be interested.

I have just had an adjustable type pick up installed on my 29, How far down should it be set and how much pressure is to much? At higher speeds my pres. gauge is buried.
Rick.

Rick,
That depends on who you speak with, I had quite a few well known engine builders tell me anything over 25 lbs is too much and you run the risk of pushing head gaskets while other say you need 30+ on supercharged engines to prevent steam pockets. I have been running 20-25 @ wot in my boat with no problems as of yet.

Before I installed the Mercury pressure relief valves, I had head gasket problems. What a mess.
