New Motors arrived.......
 

The new motors arrived on Tuesday....WOW they look awesome. Double R started on Wed about lunch and got the call around 5pm yesterday listening to my boat running in the background.....Thanks very much to Ron Potter for a great job and to Double R for getting me ready to be in the water so quick. Pics sare from my phone, sorry about the quality.

Hey Dude, lookin pretty GOOD !!! What kind of HP they pushin??? I'm assuming you got that purple color in your boat.

ya the purple is on the outside and on the dash. Ron said about 650hp per side, crossing my fingures on weather up here, want to run tomorrow.

Jay - Looking good....how did you get your motors to Fla.?

The motors went down on a transport truck both ways, used a freight broker that i know and double r did the customs for me. Double R got the motors on Tuesday and end of day on Wed. the boat was running in the test ank, all checked ok and ready to run. Saturday I put the boat in the ramp, started the port no problem, started the strbd and one of the braided hose lines coming from the heat exchanger popped off, going to have a regulare black hose put on and ready for next weekend.
Forgot to take pics of the bilge but will post them when i take them.

who did your motors for you, And how did you arrive a 650hp, love the purple.

Ron Potter of www.potterperformance.com did them, he is in Sarasota. If you go to his web page you can see his different models, although he used my block and heads the rest was based on his 650hp model.

He is a great guy and I can't say enough, he has called me 3 times since the motors came back to check in, weather has not been on my side, so i have yet to run them.

I am very excited to try them out this weekend, 5-6 boats all going out tomorrow for a day of cruising.......maybe some cocktails too! :D
Raymond from Double R called last night after he did the water test and the boat ran nails, no problems, going to change a fuel pump as it had a ticking sound but mechanical gauge still should 45psi on both motors, some adjustments on throttle sync between 3000-4000rpm but that is it. WOT is 5350-5400, with 5 blade 29 hydros. Raymond forgot his handheld GPS (my new one is not installed yet) so top end is unknown so far. He said it pulls REAL hard.

I will post pics and some more results after the weekend.

Although they would look nice in your boat I suggest you save the hastly and just buy the motors WITH the boat!!!!!!!!:D It is for sale but need to update the listing. I'll take your 38 on trade too...............have a great weekend.
