Where's the rev limiter?
 
Anyone know where I can find the rev limiter? I have 3 wires goin into the distributor..Can I cut a wire?

My '94 limiter was mounted inside the mount on rear of motor. item #43 Had to remove the module to get to it.
I don't think it's a simple as cutting a wire, may be wrong though. But when I ran my motor with the blower, I had a wire harness that I used that eliminated the rev limitor all together. It's a stock Merc item, but can't recall which motor it'd be on to order.

Thanks very much..I'm gonna try a bigger wheel. And Try to locate that box. I have a real prehistoric ignition..Nutek Firepower. I'm gonna look in there. Tempted to through a GM hei w a accel super coil in it w some weights. Do HEI 's foul up in the moisture? I wonder why people aren't running them..
