Best way to siphon fuel out of tanks (38' Fever)
Hey, I'm planning to siphon the gas out of my 38' Fever this spring (since it's about 2 years old), and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best way to do that.
I was thinking I'd just get some sort of transfer pump and run a hose down the fuel-fill to siphon it out. Are there any baffles, valves, hoses, or other internal pieces that would not allow me to do it that way? Would it be better to just tap into the tank outlet somewhere in between the tank and fuel- filter/water-seperator? Sorry for the stupid question, lol. Thanks

Remove the Fuel sending unit panels and remove the senders then siphon away! the panels are located at the rear of the cockpit under the back seat or at the front of the engine room below the trim pumps

don't use electrical pump. Might go BOOM! because of vapor... gravity, air actuated pump with motor outside garage, or anything else better...

Thanks for the replies....
Unfortunately, I don't have electric fuel pumps....so I will probably try to pick up some sort of vacuum pump like blownincome uses. Anything to look out for when removing the sending units?

Just dont bend the arm as you slide it up and back (Its not hard) and dont drop any of the GD screws (Stainless) in the tank Unless you have a stainless magnet

Are you running very high end Motors?? Unless you have a reason like you think water is in the tank or something, just top off with 93oct and run it!!!!!!!! My 500efi have sat for 18 months put in the water and go.
Example, lets say you have half a tank that is now at 80 oct, ( I seriously doubt its that low) and then fill up with 93oct, your total oct is now 86.5oct will run fine!
