Selling Boat

We have had our boat listed for a few months. Is 150,000 to much for this boat and a new Manning Trailer? Have not had one call on it. Man the economy really sucks.

Good looking dash. That price doesn't seem out of line, but in this market it's probably a little on the high side.

Just look at how many Fountains are available. Nice boat.

99 by me with trips 502 on a myco alum trlr . Owner will give another 10g credit for paint if you don't really love it. Asking 90. these are taking a bath. Yours is much nicer & I like the setup. Good luck.

Just to give you a point of reference, we are working a deal right now for a 2000 42, w/ twin 525efi's for 125K.

that's pretty much the max I was thinking it is worth, max max...

I have a 2000 32 fever, 94 hours for sale, 83,900, a few nibbles but nothing serious. Those who can afford to buy your boat wants to steal it. It's a bad time to sale a boat with $4 gass. Thank GWB for this mess...

Look around at what selling prices are (not asking). In order to get it sold my guess would put you in the $120's

FYI: My clean 2002 382 with fresh-built motors (630HP, 700TQ) and a new trailer hasn't generated any calls at $133K.

As a buyer I'd be looking to pick something up that is clean for just under trade-in.....plenty of those deals out there.

my 99 42 with new Ron Potter 650's on a myco is for sale and I received one offer of 100k and will take 115k for it, motors have about 3 hours on them.

Good luck with your and mine helps you reference.

Seems like a lot of boat and priced pretty fair, but man NOBODY is calling or buying crap......I've got my '05 27 Fever with 105 hours on it listed and i'm almost down into the high $50k range and still can't sell it, so who knows. Good luck though, everyone trying to sell now needs it!!

I hate to say this but I think we're screwed, just to many boats for sale, jobs tight, money hard to get and the one big factor, the price of gas. One saving grace, mine is paid for but it still costs me 850 a year just for insurance, not counting the deprecation.

satisfied1 06-04-2008 04:06 PM

Thanks for all the opinions. The ride of ours is just going to sit in the storage unit all summer. There is no way I am paying the gas prices this year. Sure hope it will go down in 09.

I listed mine for a bigger boat (370SS Formula or 38EC Fountain). Mine is paid for too so I'll just keep using it until it sells. Heading out Friday morning for a 3 day trip to Harborfest in Norfolk VA (about 200 gallons by trips end)

This trip will cost me about $200 more than it cost last year.....I'll complain, but I'm starting to pack the boat tonight!!!! :cool-smiley-026::D

Good to see someone with a positive attitude here. It's going to cost all of us a little more this year, but WTF, if you're lucky enough to have one of these toys you should use it. For most of us it's a big part of what we do, so take some shorter trips, skip one for the season, pack some food and skip the resturant, but get out there and spend some time on the water.

Have a great trip!!! :ernaehrung004:

We made spagetti dinners for the microwave (yes, I've installed a microwave in my 382) and are bringing a Magma gas grill on some of the trips.....The boat is paid for so the additional $1000-1,500 I spend in gas this summer sucks but I'm going to be out on the water.

My biggest complaint is that some of my buddies are making big boat payments. They aren't willing to spend the gas money for some of our regular trips so it leaves me to go by myself....or not at all.
