47 lightning need feedback
 

posted in the classifieds also (im assuming that is required in order to get feedback on a boat thats forsale in this form??) so lets try this again its a 97 lightning 47' 525sc's 0 hrs on rebuilds, 300 total hrs, nice myco trailer and a ford dually f350 all for 155000 am I out of line on my price guys..the wife wants a sport cruiser

Just saw it in the classifieds. Could have bought that boat 2 years ago for 125k. Seller needs to be a little more serious.

That thing looks like a new boat. I think that is a good deal, especially with the fresh rebuilds and truck. The market is terrible so you will probably have to wait for the right buyer. Tell your wife the sport cruiser wont be any more comfortable to sleep on and will be no better on gas. You will also be disappointed with the speed unless you buy a Fountain Sport Cruiser (which is essentially a 47 lightning with a taller deck and cabin). Even a Formula tops out in the 40s and you will either cruise in the 30's or run top end in the 40s and drink gas. Try driving somewhere that you are used to going at highway speeds but keep it in the 30s. Take your wife and when you're done she may reconsider.

thanks for the input guys, I am taking offers and willing to split up the package by all means! Im not trying to get rich here guys just want to pay off the loan and i will end up taking a bath on the motor work:( Trust me I know the speed will be terrible in a sport cruiser but if shes not happy no one is happy!!

Sorry raye missunderstood the ad. Fresh power with truck. sounds like a pretty good deal. I will pay more attention next time.
