Fuel consumption of a a 32 fever?

Well, sort of. I have a 35 single step with twin HP500EFI's.
I have carefully watched and logged fuel consumption.

Cruising at 3000-3500rpm (45-55 mph) I burn about 20-24 gph and that figures to 1.09 nautical miles per gallon or 1.25 statute miles per gallon. These numbers are off my garmin gps and actual fuel pumped into the tanks at fill up.

Hope this helps.

good enough my dad was tryin to say he read that my boat would burn about 50 to 55 gph, I thought that was quite high. I know the stepped hulls are more efficent but can't see it being twice as much fuel with smaller power n boat then yours, thanx for the info

My 1998 single step 32 Fever w/ stock 502/415's will get 1.63 mpg at about 3200 rpm's. I measured that over an 85 mile run. We were running in the low 50 mph range. Running at poker run speeds we get a little over 1.0 mpg. I run lab finished Bravo 30 pitch props. Hope that helps.

WOT, a pair of 415hp 502 mags should burn right at 60-65 gallons per hour, combined. A pair of 500EFI's burn right at 80 gph, combined. Those are the numbers I saw in some of my older Powerboat and Boating magazines. For the 500EFI's in a 35 Lightning, that works out to be just over 1 mile per gallon at WOT. :D

A 32' with 502's I whould guess 60 gallons per hour 5000 rpm :boat:I wonder about the 496's in a 35'

I believe it has either a 108 or 118 gallon tank.

1997 Fountain Sales Brochure says 119 gallon for a 32'. That is the oldest sales brochure I have.

I was wanting to ask the same question but compare a Cig Bullet to a 32Fever with 502 or same power.

Dude! I know how you feel. I felt the same way years ago. But now I am planing for a early retirement and the Portfolio only has so much gas money right now so I can have the Top Gun down the road. Last time out I ran 106miles on LOTO. I don't like to sit. Any other question or concerns before we continue???

Not knowing mpg or gph, and fuel tank size, more or less, in the 32 Fountain, you probably would have needed to be towed the last couple of miles back to the dock. The Fountain fuel gage is generally of little help. Always good to know approximately how much fuel you burn, mpg or gph so you can plan accordingly.
