2000 38' Lightning with HP500 Carb's, slightly hotter cams, headers, stock Bravo I's (not XR's), 26 hydros (not labbed), spinning in, on the limiters. Run 81 - 82 GPS with two people and 1/2 tank of fuel. I would have expected you to be closer to 95ish with 700HP. Thinking of rebuilding my engines to 700 - 750 HP and adding XR's, so I am very interested in your results. Good luck; let us know how it turns out.

might try the p5x version of prop, also which way are you turning your props in or out?

38 Tally, I sent you a response in the prop section. You will be much better off with 4 blade and you will probably want to space down 1/2" to 1". Your small steps cannot be compared to the 2000 and newer boats with the bigger steps and higher x dimensions. The 5 blades always work better with high x dimensions but you are leaving speed on the table:( (Space down 1/2" to 1" 4 blade 29 Hydromotive or Bravo 1)

try some 4 blade bravos, if it will get on plane ok then your drives are not to high, if it wont get on plane you will have to stay with 5 blades are add a spacer to lower your drive. also call throttle up and try some of there loaner props, see if they have any of there new 5 blades they make in house, that will give you what you are looking for
