Ok, so why doesn't the 2006-2008 29Fever with a 600 (referred to in the beginning of this thread) run faster than UNSANE's boat with a 525??????? Are they really 600hps, or is the 525 around 580 hps...............?

Racr.........even though you have an older hull, you should be able to attain those speeds with some changes. A shorty LU should help and a 500EFI is much easier to mod than a 525, especially when it comes to the ECM tuning. Everything costs money though...Good luck! :drink: |
Racr, we added 100hp by changing cam and adding Dart Aluminum heads and MSD ignition via Tyler Crockett. An incredible rebirth for our 35 L.

Our2000 29 with a 500 EFI ran its best at 73.6 mph ... I took a digital picture of the GPS "max speed" screen, and just ran across that picture a couple weeks ago. That was cold day, just me in the boat, and a 24P LH Hydro Q-IV. My friend owned and raced a 29' F1 boat for Fountain. That boat was race lay-up with a 500 EFI and it ran 81-83 mph. I could probably get more details from him, if you need them.
I have performance reports for several 525 EFI 29' Fevers, and most of them say 77-78 mph as top speed. I think their boats slowed down a little once they started installing GPS speedometers in them. :party-smiley-004: |
I had an 01 with a 500EFI and a Vortech supercharger. Fastest was 86 empty and averaged 82 with 2 people and 1/4 tank. It would spin a B1 30" to 5500 and a 32' to only 4900. A 28 Maximus would run about 81 until the Bravo went poof. I was told these make about 650hp. I would guess that your 85 would be possible with a labbed 32 with a couple gallons of fuel and 650 hp.
