Fountain owners
If Fountain powerboats were to suddenly cease to exist (god forbid) what would you choose as a replacement and why?
|
Used fountain!

boat
used fountain.

I dont make enough money to be brand loyal. Ill buy anything that fits my needs, wants, and budget.
|
ditto!
I would've said outerlimits until I looked at one. I just wasn't that impressed compared to our boats. I am also 6'4" which is about 8" too tall for any OL I looked at without a custom interior. |

Bayliner..... cause they are the number one selling boat.
My next boat will be a cruiser. Our current ride just doesn't meet our needs any more. |
Skater the only thing faster:ernaehrung004:

Probably keep mine, it ain't that used yet. Then look for a newer less used Fountain.
Looks like Reggie could just keep going by selling us all used Fountains. |

Let me rephrase the question: What would you choose if Fountains didnt exist, used or otherwise? As far as build quality and hull effeciency, which comes closest?

As a dealer I have been asked this by many friends. The only other brands that I have been very impressed with has been. MTI, Active Thunder, and Pantera. Each for diff reasons, I won't start a mud slinging contest, but I will say some MFG's, are not as quality as you would think, The flashier the paint the more surprised you would be with whats underneath, remember I spend allot of time in boats.
All that being said, Fountain quality, value, and performance is #1. WILL:ernaehrung004: |
Active Thunder owners seem to love their boats more than most.
|
Very nice from I seen while peeking in one last yr.
The 'cult' thing ..........hmmmm, interesting. :D |

Probably something a little more hardcore. Maybe a Sutphen, flat deck 1980's Cigarette or Scarab or possibly a Phantom. Also, it would be painted white, no more graphics.

If i had the money to buy a new one...FOuntain would be my choice. Or if i had the money to buy a used one, Fountain would be my choice..
If the was no such thing as a fountain . Cigarette. They have been around long enough and have paved the way so to speak for the "cigarette" style boats |
Sunsation F4. I had a 32 Dominator before my 42EX and really like the quality and customer service. I just couldn't afford an F4 at the time. Sunsation builds a beautiful and quality boat. It would be hard to beat my Fountain for all around value, looks, quality, ride, and speed.

I would get a Cig, always liked those boats. But I love my Beaks :D
