Then I guess flushing the engines is just for chits and grins:rolleyes:
The marinas are full of boats with iron GM, Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes, etc. engines (gas and diesel), raw water cooled, that are NEVER flushed. These engines wear out after a few thousand hours, they don't rust out. |

I hate to tell u there is a big diffrents in sitting in the water or on a lift.
If u leave it in the water ,,no air gets in there so not tooo bad ,,but on a lift or trailer and u dont flush ,,,,mmmmhhhh good luck !!!:party-smiley-004: |
Thank you guys for all the different prospectives. I was worried about the internals more obviously, but I have noticed that sometimes the windshield frames and other powder coated parts seem to bubble.
I would definitely have a survey done, salt or no salt and closely inspect the drives. But I never gave it a thought about the lack of air if the boat is sitting in the water. Either way, I like the idea of a fresh water boat the best. |
