impellar repair
 
anybody know of a good how's to in changing impellar on 500hp. i want to to change my own impellar, but need some coaching. I have a 32 foot fountain with 500hp's

The water pumps are belt driven, the easiest thing is to remove them from the engines and take them apart on the bench. Go to your Mercruiser dealer and buy a rebuild kit and just change the parts. If you have the flat serpintine belt there is an idler pulley that must be loosened to get the belt off.
