Anyone removed the stops on there tabs on a 32 fever

I was wondering if anyone has removed these & if it changed the charecteristics of the boat pulling the tabs all the way up out of the water, only thing I could think these were installed for was to help prevent the boat from porpeissing(sp?) any other thoughts opinions?

We had a 1999 and removed them. I believe Reggie put the snubs on to stabilize the boat at high speeds.

I had a 2000 with 454 mags. I took them off for faster speeds, put them back on when I wanted a better ride.

Well I planned to mark exactly where the stops would let them go up to, I was just wondering how the boat acted with them off and raised all the way up, does the boat tend to wanna porpoisse again(sp?) with them raised all the way up, what's the difference in speed #'s

I don't have them on my 2000, but US1 has them on his 99.

I believe they are set for neutral, on mine if you raise the tabs above neutral you don't gain speed but it chime walks BAD.

They prevent from chine walking ,,,but u will run faster with out them,,,,,maybe 2 MPH ,,very unsafe tough....unless u have big kahunas !! If the boat is fast enough u can drive thru the chine walk and it will become quite again,,but it takes guts and knowledge.

I took them off my 27. No real big dif. The tab inicators are there for a reson. to see where the tabs are. The stops would be good for ocean racing where you can't always fine tune. My chine walk goes away at 74 MPH or so.

I removed the trim tab stops on my 1998 32' Fever. It did not change the speed at all but it did change the handling. It required a little effort to keep it balanced at top speed with the stops out. My boat ran 80 mph on the GPS. With the tabs stops in you could take your hands off the steering wheel at WOT but with them out, you had better keep your hands on the wheel.
