I removed the stock pickup from the transom on my 27 Fever and hooked up my speedo to the built in B1 pickup.

Yea im doing just the opposite.I added nose cones to the bravo one and I dont want to drill the speedo hole thru them.So now I need to add a pick up to the transom.

Thanks Anthony

No pics, but the ones I've seen are at the notch, close to the drain plug.

Hi John,
When I went from a pitot speedo to a gps speedo I lost about 3 mph top speed, I would tend to believe that the gps is accurate and the pitot was a bit optomistic.

I have a 100mph Livorsi. At 75mph GPS speed the speedo is pretty accurate (within 1 or 2 mph).

I got a new livorsy speedo.. tring to keep it the way it was when new..

Anyway it reads about 68 mph when the GPS say's 75. I have blown air theough the line etc.. the pick up lools like it might be bent back a litlle. I can't figure it out.

It is mounted right on the center of the transome by the drain plug

The B1 pitot speedo pickups tend to read faster, the higher you trim the drive. You can continue to "pick up speed" on the dream meter even when you are actually losing real speed, as you trim the drive too high.
