GATORONE 04-04-2002 11:20 PM

2002 35 lightning with 575's and a raised x

candyman35 04-04-2002 11:39 PM

Gatorone,

Congratulations on the new boat. It's got to scream with the 575's. How much did Marty raise your X? Make sure to post some pictures. Was your previous boat a Formula?

Dan

Nice...real nice...what graphics?

Sweet! I had my first ride in a 35 last weekend. They're great. Gotta be fast with that power.

29Fever 04-05-2002 08:59 AM

Congrats! That's one sweet ride! Give us more details and pics! You've got to be hitting low 90s!

GATORONE 04-05-2002 10:47 AM

With 34's on the boat it is running 97 on the speedo which of course is a GPS speedo. The boat has difficulty getting on plane with the 34's due to prop slip. With labbed 32's it gets all over the rev limiter at 91 with very little positive trim. With 31 pitch hydromotive 5 blades it is running 94 but only turning 5000. So I am trying to get a set of 30 pitch hydromotives 5 blades to try and then lab them up to get the rpm's. Then at the same time I am going to lab the 34's:cool: ;)

Gatorone,

That is the exact boat I would order if I could pick out any one out there. Please keep us updated and post some pics.:D Seriously congradulations cannot wait to hear more.

Gatorone... The 34's are they Bravo 1's? Or Hydromotive's. Did the 5 blade cure the getting on plane problem? I have a 2000 35 with a high X also. Currently running Bravo 1's , The 4 blade Hydromotives were 3 mph faster that the Bravo's, but didn't want to get on plane with a full load of fuel and the normal boating stuff. Sounds like a gorgeous boat I know you have to be very happy congrats.

GATORONE 04-05-2002 09:08 PM

Beak

The 34s are bravos ,and as far as the 5 blades they come on plane like a ski natique. I talked with mercury today and they said they can't do anything with the 34s so they are going to lab a set of 36s and have them to me by next thursday

candyman35 04-05-2002 10:37 PM

Gatorone,
You’re flirting with the triple digit club. That's awesome with an out of the box boat. Good luck with the boat.

Sounds like if you get the hydromotive's 5 blade dialed in and then labed that will be the one. I was wanting to know how the 5 blade did with the raised X and fountain step bottom, sounds like it will work good. Congrats on the new boat.

Have fun :D

GATORONE 04-11-2002 09:42 PM

Well I tried a set of labbed 36 bravos and they were all over the rev limiters with the drives at 3, so the props have been shipped back to get more cup

candyman35 04-11-2002 11:25 PM

GATORONE,
What is your drive ratio? Can you go smaller?
I'm surprised that Fountain didn't get you set up with props from the factory. What did Reggie say your top end was?
Dan
