Shogren Performance Marine
3 Attachment(s)
I would like to share my experience with Shogren Marine.
Last month I decided that I was ready to upgrade my boat and move into a Fountain. I started looking around and talking with numerous dealerships on a trade. NO ONE would even talk to me about a trade. I was told by a fellow customer of Shogren that they would not trade with me either but I thought what the hell I'll send them and email and see what happens. Not even 30 min later I had a response from Scott saying they would consider a trade if it made sense for both parties. I couldnt believe how fast he got back with me and was somewhat willing to at least talk to me about trading up. Long story short we got the deal done in record time and i couldnt be happier. I work in a industry where you can buy products from numerous sources much like this boating industry. What sets us apart is our service. This is what sets Shogren apart from any other marine dealership out there. From the front door to the back door their operation is first class. Scott and Greg really know how to treat their customers and I couldnt be happier. Shogren put me in a great boat and they stand behind everything!! I will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used boat. Thanks again Scott and Greg!! |
We here this all the time about Shogren but It's funny we do not here this all the time about a lot of others....Shogren is the real deal! A first class business! Congratulations on the new ride. I keep looking at a couple boats Scott has but a growing family will probably keep me with what I have this year.

Great bunch of people! I bought a 27 Fever from them last month.
|
Scott spent a lot of time with me trying to make a deal..... very nice and informative indeed. Hopefully Scott and I can put something together in the future....will continue to look at the Shogren boats for sure!!
|
It's unfortunate the rest of the industry doesn't run this well...Congrats on your boat and kudo's to Shogren.
|
We have bought 2 Fountains from Shogren's, they are the dealership that other marine dealers are judged by. Scott, Greg, and Bruce work very hard to keep the good reputation they have. Other than David Woods group at Pier 57, have never delt with any dealership that was even close.

finally good comments on the board instead of bashing...
I also bought a boat from scott 2 or 3 years ago and it was also perfect! |
Thanks for all the nice comments...no doubt Shogren will continue to do well in the marine industry for many years.

I too bought from Shogrens and even though the deal was not perfect with some motor issues on a used boat, Scott, and Greg did a great job working with me. It was nice to see so much personal attention given to me from an owner of a business, and on a 10 year old boat.
Thanks Guys everything is working well now. |
Awesome, thank you for the business. Enjoy your Formula

Mark what power does your 42PR have in it? |
It's funny how things change...I sold Scott his Active Thunder 28' Savage about 10 years ago negotiating for every dime!!!!.....and then he turns into one of the biggest boat dealers around. Hell of a job Scott! Congrats!

I purchased a boat 3 years ago from these guys and had a very good experience as well. Helped me out with my trade and would recommend.

I was at Shogrens new facility a few days ago. You just would'nt believe how big of a setup he has going for him and his crew. The giant parts room, the work shop area, and the service bays to perform the work is just un-phuckin-believable !! Everything is kept so clean, it seems like you could eat off the floor nomatter where you go in the facility.
I'm really sorry I forgot my camera, I'd like to share what I saw with the rest of you guys. Next time I'll take some pics for sure. |
A somewhat different perspective
No reason at all to doubt of all your praises.
As a matter of fact, that's the main reason why I emailed Greg a couple of days ago asking for some parts and suggestions related to a winter project on my boat. BUT, I got no reply at all so far. Therefore, at the moment my impression is that they're maybe very responsive, but only with punters interested in purchasing big boats? ...and if so, they're not so different from the large majority of dealers, imho! |

email is no longer such a reliable way to communicate -- your message could easily be magically put in some spam filter. Or perhaps their email box is like mine -- a hundred a day! Pretty easy to miss the first email from a new customer.
I'd call them, then email them, to be sure you are getting into the right email box. They certainly respond quickly to me by email, and I still have not bought anything from them! |

well I guess the only way to find out is to put a request in on a NEW 47' with 850's and start the timer.
Though actually I'd rather go for a 42 with V10 Ilmors, if I had a choice... I see your point, anyway. No hurry from my part, I'll see if they come back in the next days, before eventually calling. |

Update!
I owe Shogren my apologies, having just received a reply from Greg to my email!
If - as fountainracing65 said - they are rushing to winterize and store boats under snow, it's actually surprising that he replied in such a relatively short timeframe! ...btw, snow in October!?! I won't complain anymore about Mediterranean weather! |

Sorry for delay, if you need anything else, let us know
I was on vacation and responded to you while out with my family. Is there anything else you need? I will be back in office 10/26 or Scott Shogren can help you. Email [email protected] or call 847-336-9037.
I think you may have confused winterizing boats before it snows, not that it's snowing. Regards, Greg Weber 847-336-9037 www.teamshogren.com

... I think you may have confused winterizing boats before it snows, not that it's snowing. sorry if I bothered you while you've been on vacation. All fine from my part at the moment. As I told you via email after your first reply, no hurry from my part. Btw, I already apologised (post #22) after my first somewhat complaining post! :drink: Re.snow, I simply read what fountainracing65 said in his post #17: I can tell you that they are getting hit with snow right now and I am sure a MAD rush of boats to be winterized and stored |
