The 27 is a nice boat, depending on where you boat. Lakes and protected rivers they are ok. The 29 single is a better all around boat, more cockpit room, handles rougher water better, and still small enough to tow with 1/2 ton pickup. But if you are buying on price you have to go with the best deal for you.

I appreciate the offer but have put a little down on the 27 that lightning bay has listed , pending a compression/leakdown test and sea trial ..

My first FOUNTAIN, was a 27 loved the boat, had a HP 500 in it ran real strong. I screwed the boat up, put a pro charger on it.... Ran faster, blew up drives etc....

I thought the samething about left hand controls, they are great. When I'am docking I stand in front of them it's alot better than right hand controls.

I am a lefty and I must be a little slow but after throttleing and shifting with my left had for 25 years it took me 2 years to readjust. I hear most people have a much simpler time with it

Funny I thought it would be strange and now I wouldn't want anything but left hand controls.

I do the same thing when backing up. I'll standing the middle facing rearwards and drive it like a bulldozer. So much easier for me to do this way. May look odd, but better than scraping FG.

It took me zero seconds to get use to the left hand controls. My new cruiser has them on the rt side, I don't care for them there at all.

I know how you feel when I drive my other boat or my buddies it just feels wrong. I'am on the right side of everything else but this the onething & It's left side all the way.
