how effcent are the hulls on 12meter fountain.say around a 1988 model?were they padded /bottom hull witha notched transome?are they hevy slugs or decent hull and fast?i have always liked the look of a old school fountain.thanks

in 88 it was one of the fastest if not the fastest v bottom hulls in the 38-40 range.

I don't know about efficiency (depends on power), but my 89' with the built in swim platform is supposed to weigh less than 10k lbs. dry but I don't know about that either. I do think it is an excellent combo of speed, handling, and decent rough water boat. My 89' is padded and notched. Needs big power to get over 80. Like 800hp per side. I absolutely love my old Fountain! :cheer::boat::cheer:
