BUT, what is it with Fountain and these dash designs? They still have all the gauges jammed up around the wheel. I know there is only so much room, but that just looks like it was poorly thought out.

Didn't see powerboat report, but that boat is also in Jammin On The James video, helmed by Wyatt, and showing 98 on the speedo.
Shame that they put a music soundtrack covering the engines sound, though.

Btw, why ASD and not Ilmor drives? Maybe to get the props closer to the centreline, because they couldn't fit the engines closer even if staggered?
Any ideas?

If the speed is only around a 100MPH why wouldn't some one just purchase the 700 merc package that is 110 plus and 300k less?

Wonder if they take trades...?

The boat was built before the ilmor drive came out i think, I'd like to hear what those engines sound like I've never heard them before

I have to agree????? I thought arneson drives were faster and Ilmor is lighter, so why is this boat slower?? It should be smoking a 700/#6 set up. ???????????:eek:

I was thinking the same thing, and I thought most of the guys with the merc package have full cabins?

That boat was put together as a "P1 edition" Thats why it had arnies on it

Very cool, but I am surprised that it is slower than the 700sci/#6 boats. Did you notice that they filled in the notch in the transom?

I was built in 08 i believe. It has Gen 3 710's and asd's just like Fountain Worldwide. The new stuff wasnt available then. I believe it was propped for accel rather than speed....not sure though.
