I am not always a fountain fan but this ad is a joke I live In IL let me say this nobody here knows what hustler is they think it is a magazine with naked chicks.
Now in saying this everyone including reggie (whom we all know is reading this) has spent more than they should on advertising but Hustlers 15 minutes of fame is about over they put out a release that they where buying fountain when it was an open bid (really dumb idea) my first thought was WHO? Then they put this ad out. I would love to know how many sales this has actually produced. Do they have any dealers lets say I'm in San Diego can I go down the road and order a Hustler (I'm guessing no). I have said lots of bad things about reggies decision making with his business but he could sell boats. If I had to guess reggie and the owners of Hustler talked, they were interested they thought it was in the bag, they lost out, now they feel they got screwed and are trying to retailiate. Instead of running stupid ads they should have been trying to pick up fountain dealers. Shogren picked up nortech I'm sure if hustler approached them they would give it a shot but instead of trying to pick up dealers they wanted to run ads. Long story short this ad makes a great conversation topic but will probably not result in 1 sold boat. So it is wasted money. If you want to run ads in a national magazine you need a national dealer network. I hope fountain survives the storm the fuel outlook is not good for this year. The banks made there money back and are investing in commodities again so I hope you have a good plan that does not require volume. If not hopefully you can use your eqipment for something positive like windmill blades or composite semi fuel saving parts. You may have to look outside the box to survive the people breathing down your neck. |

Ads are Ads, some trash talk each other but Hustler thowing that one out kind of make them look like a pissed off ex-girlfriend. Would like to see more about the product.
Bingo! :gfight: |
That ad is trash it will not help sell any boats. I think they are just mad that Fountain beat them to the finish line again.

I don't care that someone says they are faster than me, etc,
but don't tell me I threw my hard earned money away, when I know I didn't. |
One of my sources just forwarded me a copy of a rather intriguing document about Hustler Powerboats. In the remainder of this letter, I plan to summarize the contents of that document in an effort to substitute movement for stagnation, purposive behavior for drifting, and visions of a great future for collective pettiness and discouragement. Read on, gentle reader, and hear what I have to say. I indeed hope you're not being misled by the "new Hustler Powerboats". Only its methods and tactics have changed. Hustler Powerboats's goal is still the same: to leave a generation of people planted in the mud of a jejune, lascivious world to begin a new life in the shadows of sectarianism. That's why I'm telling you that Hustler Powerboats keeps saying that big emotions come from big words. Isn't that claim getting a little shopworn? I mean, it claims that its reports are not worth getting outraged about. Well, I beg to differ.
Does Hustler Powerboats do research before it reports things, or does it just guess and hope it's right? The reason I ask is that it's a pity that two thousand years after Christ, the voices of disrespectful authoritarians like Hustler Powerboats can still be heard, worse still that they're listened to, and worst of all that anyone believes them. Hustler Powerboats, does the word "chromatographic" mean anything to you? There are lots of weepy, wimpy flower children out there who are always whining that I'm being too harsh in my criticisms of Hustler Powerboats. I wish such people would wake up and realize that Hustler Powerboats's ideological colors may have changed over the years. Nevertheless, its core principle has remained the same: to lead people towards iniquity and sin. If you don't believe me then note that a bunch of refractory, raffish slimeballs of one sort or another have recently been accused of forcing me to stampede into the abattoir. Hustler Powerboats's fingerprints are all over that operation. Even if it turns out that it is not ultimately responsible for instigating it, the sheer amount of its involvement demands answers. For instance, does Hustler Powerboats's oversized ego demand that it manipulate public understanding of misoneism? It is bootless to speculate on the matter but it should be noted that Hustler Powerboats certainly believes that Dadaism and conformism are identical concepts. What kind of Humpty-Dumpty world is it living in? Fortunately for us, the key to the answer is obvious: The ultimate aim of its catch-phrases is to restructure society as a pyramid with Hustler Powerboats at the top, Hustler Powerboats's squadristi directly underneath, abhorrent porn stars beneath them, and the rest of at the bottom. This new societal structure will enable Hustler Powerboats to manipulate the unseen mechanisms of society so as to keep a close eye on those who look like they might think an unapproved thought, which makes me realize that it has delivered exactly the opposite of what it had previously promised us. Most notably, Hustler Powerboats's vows of liberation turned out to be masks for oppression and domination. And, almost as troubling, its vows of equality did little more than convince people that it attracts the worst classes of mendacious, stupid trolls there are to its brownshirt brigade by telling them that pessimism can quell the hatred and disorder in our society. I suppose the people to whom it tells such things just want to believe lies that make them feel intellectually and spiritually superior to others. Whether or not that's the case, Hustler Powerboats likes causing riots in the streets. That's the most damnable thing about it. It's also why this is preeminently the time to speak the truth, the whole truth, frankly and boldly. Let me therefore state that if we can understand what has caused the current plague of intransigent, two-faced maniacs, I believe that we can then shatter the adage that Hustler Powerboats has the linguistic prowess to produce a masterwork of meritorious literature. Hustler Powerboats will do everything in its power to commit senseless acts of violence against anyone daring to challenge its jaded metanarratives. No wonder corruption is endemic to our society; Hustler Powerboats denies that it has been plaguing our minds. Its denials clearly contradict reports from eyewitnesses who saw it preventing me from sleeping soundly at night. I'd like to see Hustler Powerboats spin its way out of that one. To sum it all up, I sometimes feel like Hustler Powerboats has forced us into a danse macabre with its misinformed, fastidious prevarications leading us to the grave. |

tomtbone1993- You must of killed it in english class!!!haha NICE!

I'm about as hard core Fountain as anyone can get. This is getting way off base here even in my mind. To the point that "we" as Fountain folks are starting to look like the chit heads. This is/was a dumb azz deal on the part of Hustler, just let it stay that way, don't beat the chit out of it.
I personally don't give a fock what they say/said, I like my Fountain and have no desire to own a Hustler. I have run in a couple of them, decent boats, just not a Fountain. They made their play, fell on their face, who cares! Ignore it! |
