The 29 is about 2mph faster than same 27 with same power.
Not sure what the 600 would do but I'll say around 85ish give or take.

Yes, please post pics when you get it. I would think Fountain would build just about anything you want right now. Don't know why they quit making the 29 to start with. Its the perfect size for most of us folks that have half ton trucks and dont want to have to upgrade the garage, truck, house, etc. I love mine. I can get 82-83 on a good day, out of mine, with the 525 efi. So you should be pushing mid to upper 80's

Not sure y they stop making them, maybe because of the new baja line. Building a killer triple axle trailer for it all slammed. Boat has got black hull sides.

There were 2 new 2007's at Carolina Performance Marine when I was there a couple of years ago, both with 600'sci's. Not sure if they had ITS and SSM lowers, but the performance reports were 82 mph and 83 mph. I thought they would have been higher than that, but they weren't. The 29s' with 525 EFI's ranged from 76 mph to 80 mph based on the stack of performance reports that I have. My current late 2006 29 with a 525 has a test report speed of 80 mph, spinning a 28P Bravo 1 and an X dimension of 19". During the last year or two of the 29's they actually lowered the X from 19.5" to 19", again based on a stack of their performance reports that I have. If I remember right, one of the 600 boats had a 28P bravo 1 and the other had a 30P bravo 1 on it, which didn't seem to make a lot of sense to me. My 2002 29 Fever with a 575 SCI showed 83 mph on its performance report, spinning a 30P Bravo 1 and an X dim of 19.5". I tried a couple different Hydro Q-IV props on the 575 boat but never could get it on plane no matter where I set the tabs, or how slowly I tried to accelerate - as soon as the nose would start to break over, the prop would just blow out and the boat would just squat back down into the water. I think that may have been a symptom of too high of an X dimension.
Did Fountain give you an estimate of how fast your new boat should run? I'm sure they built a couple with that combination before.
