Broken lights in the bilge
 

Have a 2000 27 Fever the lights in my bilge are broke and jus hangin around I have noticed that a few other Fountains have the same trouble any suggestions on what to replace them with? Are there any LEDS that would fit there? Thanks.

Sounds like you may be looking for something different to fill the same hole roughly...

Either way, you can replace them at West Marine. They are generic interior lights. Perhaps someone broke them while working in the bilge or the like.

After I replaced mine, they never broke again for what that's worth.

They come in black and white.

Here are a couple of cheap alternatives. I'm not sure what the dimensions of your engine comp. lights are, but these are pretty universal.

i had the same problem w/my 27.i found a replacment through my marine dealer.......be preparied,they are not cheap.

Must be a Fountain standard item, as everyone seems to have them. :)
Mine were broken on my 27, so I just made new bases out of delrin. Much stronger material. Could even smack them w/o fear of them breaking.

Look for the Guest lights other than at WM such as Defenders or Boatfix. WM usually has a good amount of a higher price

US1, Thats cheap!! I think I paid $49 for one so that we had a pattern to make aluminum bases from. Mine were broken on both my '96 27 and my 2000 29 when I bought the boats. I had Charles (you met him ... he lives in Hamilton, OH) make me a set of aluminum bases (he turned them on his lathe and then milled slots for the rest of the assembly to fit into), and I had them powder coated. Total cost for both bases was $20 including powder coating. He made a couple sets after he made mine (as prototypes) for several of our friends. The aluminum ones never broke! :D

I thought of doing AL, but delrin machines so much faster and didn't have to worry about the color since it was already white. Couldn't tell it from the originals when done. $20 for 2 bases machined and coated......won't get that anywhere else.
