Dash Upgrade....
I am replacing all guages, switches, throttle controls, the steering wheel and the dash panel on my 98 fever. I got a quote from livorsi for all parts needed and the total came up to about $4700. Now being in the car business I know how bad parts are marked up and I think its probably safe to say boat accessories/parts are marked up even more. Does anyone have any advice/sources to get everything I need/want for a little cheaper? I know these toys are expensive but man I had a little sticker shock when I saw that....

To be honest with you that's not a bad price....this was $5K a few years ago

I re-did my dash last winter......this cost under $1K
BUT, I re-used my gauges with new bezels, same throttles, installed GPS I already had. New wheel, bezels, and all panels that were made by the factory supplier. |
I am doing mine and the most expensive will be the shifter/throttles.
Best price I found was at http://www.topnotchperformancemarine...home.php?cat=0 I am painting the dash panel myself, sent the gauges in for new bezels and glass. ($343) Won't be to bad when I am done. |

You can send your existing gauges to Livorsi and they can change out the rims for next to nothing. The throttles can be taken apart and chromed or powder coated and there are places you can send the dash plate for a carbon fiber look or have it custom painted. This should be much less expensive than buying all new components, but will require a bit more effort.
