502 still overheating

This one is killing me. My water temp was getting too high, so i changd out the impeller and housing, it was toast. Back flushed everything and removed the old pieces. Now it runs great with the hose on the factory flush system, good water pressure and about 140 degrees. Put the boat in the water and no pressure and overheats pretty quick. It's not getting water from the drive (bravo one low water pick up)

Any thoughts?

Bravo Fever? The hose where it comes thru the transom plate is collapsed rite were the elbow mounts (the one your seawater pump hooks to). How old of a boat? Salt water?

It's a 99, some saltwater/brackish use.

10-4 Pull the elbow and take a look (easier with the engine out). But the salt water will start to eat the housing around the hose, the hose will start to collapse. Just a possabilty. Or you can have a pinched or collapsed hose in the gimbal area. Or? Hope it helps.. Pete

Thanks for the help, I'll dig into it and see what I find.

Plastic hose insert where the hose comes through the gimble housing is crushed/collapsed. Taking it to the shop....
Thanks for the help guys.

Sorry to hear that. But Bravo's are known for that issue. Exspecially the salt water one's. Good luck.. Pete
