2003 lightning value?

hey guys looking for some help. What would a 2003 38 lightning be worth with 500 efi's and xz drives. Around 50 hours. Trailer included. 85-90? Looking to pull trigger pretty quick.

TampaBeach 03-10-2010 08:59 PM

I am guessing without knowing the boat or condition, but 70-100K I got to call you out a little only 50 hours????? In 7 Years??? Just a heads up if I looked at any boat with that ratio I would breakout the scanner on the EFI motors.

That sounds like a pretty dam good deal to me. All depends on the condition its in.

302Sport 03-10-2010 10:38 PM

this looks like the deal for something that meets all your specs...... http://www.boattrader.com/listing/20...tning-96534336

also suncoast has a 04 38 w/525's for $129k ask, that has been around for awhile so they might listening to offers............

dlange 03-11-2010 09:57 AM

looking

Thanks for thw quick reply guys. Looking to step up from my 33 outlaw to a 38 lightning. The 04 is a nice ride to.

Marginmn 03-11-2010 10:20 AM

Ad says they are down to 95K now and taking offers on that 04.

carcrash 03-11-2010 11:24 AM

38 isn't staggered, is it? IMHO, staggered is the way to go. Way easier to work in the engine compartment. Read that story about the sunk Formula 412 due to a bad bilge pump hose. That's an example of the kind of thing that's easy to see in a staggered set up, and impossible on side-by-side. Really: there is absolutely no way to inspect or repair the bilge pumps on my boat without removing at least one engine, and sometimes both!

Wildman_grafix 03-11-2010 11:43 AM

latter 38's came in both a 'SEMI" staggered and then full Staggered.
Not sure what years.

Looks like in 04 they were staggered.

Surprized that boat does not have staggered set up bieng a 2004??Is that the norm?95k does look like a good price for sure also does not state what type motors in boat does it have motors?:party-smiley-004:

Wildman_grafix 03-11-2010 09:43 PM

If you look at the other one the motors are staggered but not moved in.

dlange 03-11-2010 10:09 PM

it has 500 efi;s

aTX427 03-12-2010 03:21 PM

Was it a re-rigged with 500efi's? A 2003 Lightning should be a short stagger 525efi boat.

Fountainclimber 03-12-2010 05:27 PM

The one at Suncoast is a fantastic freshwater boat;-) It could go for lots less than $129! Lots less! It is the semi staggerd style with 525's.

punch in suncoast powerboats. It should be the first one that comes up

custom29scarab 03-20-2010 09:48 AM

you can find the one at Suncoast by going to yatchworld.com The 38 with 500 efi's is sold. The suncoast boat has been in salt a few times and he won't go less that 110k on the boat and there are over 300 hours on that 04 with 525's.
