Headers for 29 fever 502s

Im thinkin about a headers for my 1996 29 fever. Ive got twin 502s stock but will probably have them rebuilt at the end of the season and plan to add HP. i figure I might as well get the headers now. I will get either lightning or cmi headers and I plan to keep the silent choice. There are 3 different widths for the headers 36", 33" and 32" just wondering what other people used in their 29 or 32 twin engine fevers?

You might call Fountain.....I know those motors are very tight. Not heard alot of good things about lightning as far as longevity, but then have heard CMI have had their problems also. Sorry not much help

Lightining Headers came on my boat when I bought it and NO issues here I have a 502 MPI and they are LOUD!! IF you run in salt water you will have to drain them frequently because they are not stainless steel. If running in fresh water you will be fine. You wont go wrong either way.

Im going with lightnings in mine again. They lasted 12 years!

Give Lightning Performance a call and talk to Jan, he'll point you in the right direction. I think you might have to ditch the silent choice because of the collector lengths of the headers. Not sure about CMI...Good luck

I had Stainless Marine headers on a 502 at 1 time and they worked out great. I ran it for years in Salt Water, flushed engine/headers on the hose after each use.
