35 lightning 525 boat
 

Hi guys, getting some mixed answers so looking for some help.
On the 525 35 lightnings what seems to be the best prop choice? If any of you have this set-up advise is appreciated.
5 blade 32 Maximus (on a boat)
6 blade 32 herrings (factory test sheet)
5 blade 33 herrings (on a boat)
These are answers i have been given for the same boat set-up from 2007 - 2009 all from different people.
Could thier be this much variance between the boats? Were changes made between 2007 - 2009? I didn't think so.

I have an 07 with 32 5 blade Maximus and 32 6 blade Herrings. I use the Maximus for all boating except poker runs. The Herrings perform a little faster on the top end, the Maximus are better for low to mid range. The reason I use the Maximus the majority of the time is because they are much cheaper to replace if something happens.

thanks.....I just bought an 09 and it is coming with 5 blade 32 maximus too. If i find a good deal on some herrings maybe i will do as you say......something for the odd day i want top end more than mid range.
