New to Fountain and excited
 

Just closing the deal on a new fountain, well not new but new to me, and really excited. I just got a 91 29' Fever with twin 454's. The cabin has been upgraded, the seats are either never seen the sun or are brand new, hull has 300hrs and engines rebuilt at 60hrs. I paid 26, I dont think i got a great deal, but descent, any thoughts on what I paid.

Also anything i show know about this model.

I also recently bought a '91 29' Fever with 420HP 454's. Paid $23.5k but have another $2k+ in it already doing misc. preventative maintenance stuff (water pumps, sea pumps, fuel pumps and filters, hoses, engine and drive oil changes, carb rebuilds, etc).
It didn't need most of that stuff yet, but I'd sooner work on it in my shop than while floating on the lake.

So I'd say either you did just fine at $26k or we both screwed up :D

Doesn't matter too much really, the purchase price is just the beginning anyway :)

Could have had my Hustler for close to that runs 80's turn key 65K invested. But good luck with the boat and enjoy High performance is where its at.

From what it looks like everything mechanical wise has been gone over and reaplaced or rebuilt, so hopefully i dont have to dump any cash into it. Yeah its a descent price, dealer tried telling me it was a steal, and i dont think so, but it doesnt really matter, ive wanted a fountain and this on is pristine.
