fountain 24cs
Anyone know anything about the 24'? What is the bottom design? Is it suitable for rough water? Any info would be appreciated...Fobes

The 24 is pretty small even when compared to the 27, although only 3 feet different the v is not nearly as deep and the sides are much lower to the water. I have seen many on the potomac where it can be quite rough at times. Fountain used to refer to the 24 as a lake boat (great to pull skiers) however, I have never had the chance to ride in one so I can not tell you how it would act in rough water. I remember one in last years poker run jumping out of the water quite a bit the water was pretty rough though. After that said, it is a Fountain. Thanks to my dad I have had the oppurtunity to ride in 3 different sizes and they all ride great.

it's a sweet lake boat, but not much of an open water boat.

Definitely not a rough-water boat. It's very low-profile, with low deadrise. I looked at one before I bought my 29 and when I told the dealer I was planning to go in the bay, he said I shouldn't get it. Seems like it would make a great lake or river boat.
