You talking in the water or on the trailer??

whats the normal high speed, and what rpm not to bust balls here just sounds high for a stock 525. at 5200 rpm that would be 3% slip and at 5400 rpm thats 6% for a bravo 4 blade thats incredible numbers congrats anyone else with speeds.

Yes - ECU has an old map program. This is the "normal" high speed, running totally light again - but OP was looking for FASTEST... |
Hey Mark dont foget the 8mph current helps to:lolhit:
|
theres some old threads on this....didnt that guy in Fla have one with 1100hp or something that went over 100.....or are you talking right here today
|
Yes I spoke with him on the phone briefly,he was out of Naples,Fl and was running a blown Chief engine with intercooler around 1000hp. A imco sc drive 36p 5 blade maximus If I am correct and claimed he nailed 105mph all day without a problem (I believe it was a earlier hull 01-04) If I recall correct Brett@Bblades knows the details! Later I think I saw the boat for sale on here. He also said that there was another 29' called problem child (I could be wrong on the name)and told me they were hitting 112+
|
There is a guy in S. Carolina that can run 110+ 1200hp quad rotor motor.
|
"Roger" has a very fast 29, but it has twins (575 NA's). Accelerates like a rocket. I rode in it when it had 540's (if I remember correctly) and it would literally pin you to the seat when he would "push" the throttles. :D :D
|
I own a 2001 29' that is pretty much stock except for some minor tweaks. It has the 575SCi in it.
It loves cool air and warm water (well warm for Seneca Lake that is 600+ feet deep). Ran a few days ago at 91.3 (gps) on flat water. Waiting for cooler air and about 10" chop. Should hit 93+. It's for sale too. I will take 60. I am looking for a 35 staggered if anyone knows a real good deal (of course) and only used in fresh water. |
Trent Wyant ownes the fastest 29 single engine !!!!!

Handles fine once you get past the 78mph chine walk deal (at least on my boat). There is a subtle trick to that part.
Above 85mph you have to focus on flying the boat level. That is real important as most of the boat is in the air. You kinda need to have a knack for that I think or it can get away from you real quick. I guess i am saying that you have to be seriously focused when driving that small a boat that fast, especially with other boats mixing up the water. |
Sounds kind of hairy to me. I think the answer is no. It isn't stable at 85 and 90.

I wouldn't say it isn't stable. I am simply saying that you need to pay attention and not get complacent or you can get in big trouble. That is simply due to the speed. Too many people don't respect these things and that's when $hit happens. It is as stable as the driver is smart (and capable). |

You know, special discount for a friend:ernaehrung004: |

As Reggie states, Fountains are the fastest and safest boats on the market (but he should add the word vee-hulls) because this is a vee and it is only 29 ft and when it goes 91+ mph you need to pay attention. So Kelly, are you brokering a boat or is this your's that you are giving me a smokin deal on  ??? |

Could I broker my own boat, therefore increasing my sale price while talking about myself in the third person ?:lolhit: Wildman, seen anything available worth checking out ? |
No,,,,,,,,,,,, but it would be cool to see someone step up and finish the green 47 CS that was in the classifieds.:drink:

My 29 has a (grey area) from about 80 to 85 it gets a little schetchy but it smooths out quite a bit after that. It likes 1-2 foot chop and the fastest I have run Is about 92-93. But if you drive the boat it works!!
