Word has it from the website that Reggie is on administrative leave. I would recommend to the powers that be fix what ever is broken with the relationship with Mr Fountain. Fountain is far better off with him than without him!. I have been a fountain Owner for over 12 years and have owned 3/35 Fountains... I think that Reggie is a presence that Fountain can not afford to be without!

Liberty Associates appoints John Walker
as President and CEO of Fountain Powerboats

Washington, NC – December 12, 2010:

Boca Raton, FL and Washington, NC – December 12, 2010: Liberty Associates CEO Bill Gates makes the following announcement regarding executive management changes at Fountain Powerboats.

Gates stated that “Effective immediately, John E. Walker is appointed to the position of President and CEO of Fountain Powerboats. In addition to serving as President of American Marine Holdings, owner of Donzi Marine and Pro-Line, Mr. Walker was recently appointed to the position of President and CEO of Baja Marine. The management change was made effective in conjunction with the recent announcement that Reggie Fountain left the Company.

Gates also added that “The entire team at Fountain Powerboats wishes Mr. Fountain the best of luck; and the Company would welcome him back at any time.”

Sounds like Reggie left Fountain. The new owners should watch out as I remember a man named Don Aronow who would leave\sell a company then open another, the buyers would follow him because of his previous success, drive and product.

So for all of us owners we should refer to our boats as Reggie Fountains and from this day forward Libertys boats are just Fountains.
Kind of the Diet Coke of Fountains Looks like a Fountain But not Fountain Enough...Can Liberty continue to build Fountains the answer is yes but the man Driving the innovation that brought it to where they are to-date is gone and I think sadly so will be the Innovations we all looked forward to in every new model.Those will i'm sure show up in what ever Reggie brings to the table for his next venture.. Good luck Liberty with out Reggie .... Looking forward to what you have up your sleeve Reggie I'm sure it will be awesome! :drink:

the new ones will be AMF Fountains LOL! Remember when AMF bought Harley.

yea i do and they were junk.nobody wanted them and the sat on the floors.i think the new owners are messing up.you know,a smart man knows that history repeats itself.
