Dash Update
3 Attachment(s)
Just got my dash back from Livorsi, rather then spending an arm & a leg, I opted to have my panel & gauges refurbished at 1/3 the cost. Turned out great, I decided to keep the panel white & use chrome & platinum as accent colors , I will post before & after pics

momo ponza, you need to purchase a billet hub to slide on the standard 3/4 stud |
Looks good man, I too am updating my dash, I am replacing the whole thing tho, have all the parts except for the throttle and controls (the most expensive piece). Cant wait to get it all installed!
|
Talked to Todd at Livorsi and he quoted me $20 more per gauge to go brand new. Not sure if it is worth it to referb my gauges.
|
x15 gauges - you can not tell them apart from a new gauge

When you said it was a 1/3 of the cost I was shocked. That was not the case. Only $20 more for new gauge and I can sell my old ones for $20 each so I should pay the same that you did for all new gauges. |
New gauges have a new style pig tail. Referb your exsiting.
|
If a gauge goes out, as long as livorsi is still operating, I should be able to have it repaired. When I said 1/3 the cost, I was referring to my original plan to buy a new panel, new throttles, gauges , switches ect.

Don't forget about Great Lake Skippers for dash parts. I've bought stuff from them before they have nice products.

Great thread. My panel is out getting redone right now, along with throttles. Talked with livorsi about re-furbing my gauges (sames as yours), and never even thought about going with the silver dials and bezels at the refurbish price! some of my white gauges have lenses that cracked. Looks like i will be sending mine up there! If you dont mind me asking, how long did it take to get them back?
I was told 20 per gauge for the small ones, 38 bucks for the tachs, and about 80 or so for the liquid speedo.. Yours looks great. Nice update. |
I sent my panel & gauges all intact & wired up, & got it back that way, It was a extra 100 but well worth it to me, they had my dash for 2 months, I would get your gauges there ASAP, just to be on the safe side

Plan to send my gauges to livorsi this week and have them re-furbished and change from white to platinum like you did. I really like the gauges with the warning lights, and like the fact they put the red pointers in too! :drink: |

Nice update. $35 for small or $50 new $57 for tach or $200 new $80 for speedo or $118 new New gauges have built in LED lights. Who is the guy at Livorsi that refurbish the panel? Todd told me they do not refurbish panels. He said they tried it one time and will never do it again. |

Just let me know who u r dealing with and hook a brother up. Todd is sticking it to me.
So, it would end up costing me 571.00 to refurbish all 15 1996 year gauges. Was on egauges.com just now. for new autometers pro comp ultra light platinums, 809.00. For new autometer carbon fiber, 720.00. This is with a standard speedo, non gps. But my original setup had a liquid speedo anyhow. Plus i have a chartplotter that gives me GPS speeds anyhow. Thinking now i may just go with the new autometers for the extra 150-200 bucks, and put my old gauges on ebay. Now to decide...carbon fiber or platinum! Platinum matches everything better, but the carbon fiber ones look all business...Tough call! |
Go with the platinum, it looks good, unless you've got alot of other carbon fiber stuff in the boat to match the C/F.

Maybe they send it out to team marine? that could be why it took 2 months to get everything back. I had team marine do the panels on my last boat, & it is of the same quality. All I know is I sent in my complete gauge panel & Livorsi took care of it from there ;) |
