vinyl cleaning

I was just wondering what you guys are using for a vinyl cleaner and protector. Something to bring the white out and get the threading clean as well without harming it, thanks!

To get it as white as Possible, just use a good soap & magic erasers, stay away from the threads w/ the eraser & over all use them sparingly.... Make sure to put a good conditioner on after.

just as jmoore says...but I think the best product to use after cleaning is "303 Aerospace Protectant" vinyl conditioner.

there are several threads on this in which you can find out about a lot of different people's methods and products. I have always heard magic erasers are really hard on the vinyl and the threads, but it does def work! I use scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner and rinse it off as soon as I scrub an area, it works really good at getting the bright white as I have tried a lot of different products. 303 Protectant is def the way to go for conditioner. All of this of course IMO. Good Luck!

Magic erasers but not generic ones followed by a wipedown with water and vinyl conditioner.

Another ME vote followed up with 303. BTW, don't think you'll just do a small spot. You will have to do the whole cockpit. :)

Don't use the ME on the leather in the cabin.

Roll-off works great followed by 303 .

My 2 cents: 3 times a season begining, mid and end. Wash bucket with dawn, spray bottle w 1/2 water 1/2 purple degreaser. And a water hose. Get it wet, spray on degreaser, scrub w soft brush, wash with soapy mit, rinse off. i do the whole cockpit being carefull around dash and speakers. etc. dry with a clean beach towel. and use 303 after its dry. I also use magic erasers between my big cleanings. and keep it soaked in 303.

100% mineral spirits !!!!!!!!!

my detailers use spraynine, a soft/ mid bristle scrub brush and a grey(very fine) 3m scuff pad. does not hurt vynyl as one would think being a scuff pad and the spray nine doesnt hurt the thread. be sure to wash down with soap and water first as to rid any loose dirt, and cut the risk of chemical saturation.

I use Wollite with oxy clean (blue bottle) along with a soft scrub brush. This works well for me as a general weekend cleaner it also does a good job of getting the dirt out of the viinyl texture. It is also fairly easy on the material and smells nice!

For unbelievable results. Use orange Go-Jo for cleaning followed by 303.
My 2cents.

303 makes me break out with red SPOTS! Doesn't anyone else have that problem? Looks like I got stung by 3,000 bee’s if I get near that stuff. :angry-smiley-038:

I use magic erasers with simple green or Fantastic. Also Zep vinyl cleaner with a plastic scrub brush for yearly cleanings.

mineral oil works well and costs far less then most cleaners.
