32 fever step hull trailer options?
Thinking of buying a 98 fever 32 and it has no trailer. I called around and am getting all kind of crazy numbers for trailers. What are most people doing when they buy a trailer for a stepped hull boat. I don't want to spend alot on a custom one if I dont have too. I want an aluminum one....thanks.
Anyone have a used one????? |
Not sure what you are asking, but the trailer has to be set up for the stepped hull. Simply adding 2x4s on top at therear of the trailer bunks just might be enough. That's the depth of the step on my '99

Yes, I understand that. Every boat I have had I just go to local trailer guy and get venture alum bunk trailers....but with this I need a stepped trailer, so I was hoping somone had info on a brand that is a universal performance boat trailer for steped hulls that I can set up rather than having a custom eagle, or loadrite made from hull dimentions...so far 6900 is the price from fountain dealership..

Call Manning trailers for probably the same $ as the dealer you can get a custom made trailer for your boat.If you try to be cheap and save a buck on a trailer it will cost more in the long run.

Manning gave me a quote for $7500, that was a dual axel, alm, electric over hydraulic brakes. Here is the trailer drawing for stepped hull 32’s

did fountain email that drawing to you? i didnt know they would do that..this will come in handy

I purchased a trailer for a 32 fever about a month ago from loadmaster in Florida. $6400, electric over hydraulic brakes, torsion triple axles, LED lights, front bunks, and cow catcher front bow stop, bunks custom cut for step. The step on a '97 32 fever can be 1-1/8" or 2-1/8" in height and the step can be 84" or 94" long, if remember my call with fountain. Fountain could not pull the data for my hull due to the records being in storage off site.

Is the loadmaster a bolted or welded frame? Manning was welded , lights are LED but I think most use that. Not sure, if a triple would be more or less. I like a dual, easy to back up, I have a VERY tight drive to get into and with 3 Axel it is a bi***! On the loadmaster did all have brakes? |
Nextrail in Ocala Fl. also makes a good trailer for the price. You can get a price list on there web site
