Hering 6 blade on 29' Fountain

Is anyone runnin a 6 blade on a 29' fountain ? If so let me know what your results are? I think it may create to much stern lift.

I agree with your assumptions, that would also seem to be really hard on the drive even if you didn't come out of the water.

I talked with the Herring guys at the Miami Boat Show and they felt that the 6 blades with 2 inch shorties would give me a significant speed increase over stock Bravos with four blades. I'm sure it would be harder on the drives. I think my outdrive guy might have some shorties that I can try out. I will post it if he does.

I heard that the new fountains are leaving the factory with herrings on them. I have an opportunity to pick up a new in the box 31 Herring 6 blade for 500 bucks..Just wondering if it would work on the 29 fountain without killing my Imco sc drive.

I would just call Hering and ask them what they would recomend as a starting point.
