Depth finder transducer - new gauge

ok, I'm getting ready to install my new dash, & it looks like the new livorsi depth finder has a different plug then my old gaffrig unit, can the wires be cut & spliced together? will it still work properly?

I don't think so. I installed a new transducer that goes with the new gauge.

Works much better then the old combo.

Ditto...I just got a Livorsi DF to go with my new gauges/dash and was told to use the new transducer also. Still hooking everything together and waiting to put the boat on the water to locate the new transducer.:drink:

yeah, this sucks, it is a total P.I.T.A to get an old transducer out, why can't they make the plugs the same :confused: , that would be to simple:lolhit:
