cup holder size

looking tips on how to enlarge the cupholder hole, the smallest ones I could find were 3" for the rear seat location, looks like they will work, but I need to enlarge the hole without destroying the interior panel:lolhit:

I would think you would have to pull the old one out and see if the vinyl is stapled or glued in. Then cut the whole to size. reglue and staple than put cup holder in

kinda hard to use a hole saw with a existing hole, thats the problem, I could maybe try trimming it with an air saw

Grinding it out is about the only way, w/ out removing the top of the seat!!! It's a real pain but worth it in the end... I managed to only nick up 1 Lil piece on my side panel

Usually depends on the broad :lolhit:

Use a Dremel bit or a bigger air bit. and a vacume cleaner at the same time. :D

Take 2x4 or 2 x6 drill with correct size hole saw. Hold board over where you want new hole cut. Use an xacto to cut upholstery. Hold 2 x 4 firmly using the hole already drilled as a guide and drill hole. Glue upholstery back down or use flange from cupholders to hols upholstery into place.

that or use a dremel tool or a roto zip type thing. The Flanges on the cup holder will cover the whole so I mean it doesnt have to be exact

I used a roto zip to cut thru the vinyl and the wood at the same time. I like the hole saw with the template 2x4 better. Wish I known that idea. Sounds quick and precise.
