Just finished the re-do on my 42'. All new carbon fiber gauges with custom painted panels. Raised the front seats 5" and built custom fiberglass seatbacks. Also have speedos going in each of the seat backs, not shown. Built all new side panels, no more plastic, and built custom sub boxes in each of the side walls to hide the subwoofers.

Looks good I like the CF look.

It looks like you went with a different color, did you also paint the boat?

Esquire 04-28-2011 01:52 PM

Looks awesome!!!

drpete3 04-28-2011 02:31 PM

What material did you build the side panels out of? Also you said you have hidden the subs but where?

lifesaboat 04-28-2011 02:47 PM

Side panels were built out of 3/8" plastic with 1/2" closed cell foam overlays. 10" subs were loaded in ported boxes and fit into the side wall while the interior was out. Still have full storage and sounds great. Didn't paint the boat. It was already orange and silver. The red didn't really go with the original paint. Cutting down the windshield next, just added sportmaster -2" lowers and new 5 blades. Testing later today.

Old exterior shot, then newer shot with yellow plexi and painted windshield. Gonna pull the windshield and cut it down, change the glass to ultra clear, and repaint it orange pearl.

575cat 04-28-2011 04:39 PM

great job, what kind of power are you running ?

lifesaboat 04-29-2011 06:52 AM

Running 575's warmed up to 720 hp. 2" short sportmasters and your 5 blades. Also, have another set of pulleys that should be good for 30 more HP. Hoping for low 100's.

Wildman_grafix 04-29-2011 12:05 PM

You selling it?

lifesaboat 05-01-2011 08:43 PM

Listed it over the winter, but have spent a ton on it since listing it. Boat is running awesome with the new set up. Don't think I would sell it now.

Dash panel?

Did you put monster race gauges for the tachs and mph????? Where did you get your dash panel or did you use your existing panel????

2KOOLPerformance 05-10-2011 08:45 AM

agreed 100% looks fantastic, nothing like CUSTOM original ideas

good 4 you!

lifesaboat 05-11-2011 05:18 PM

Thanks to everyone! The windshield has been cut down 8" and remachined. Need to re-fit it and then paint it. Should be done by the weekend. Will post pics when finished.
We reused the original panels. The gauges are all standard sizes with mega rim from Livorsi.
