First time on water and loved it. What about props

First time on water last night and loved it. On GPS was going 70mph without messing with drives and planes, first time on boat and wasnt suppose to be going 70 in that area and didnt want to push my luck.

Anyways heres the question, boat felt like it had it some more. The props right now are 4 blade hydromotive think they are 23 or 24 pitch. Would getting a 27 pitch work better, any thoughts. Its a twin 454 set up. Just my thinking but the boat seemed to have about 75mph in her or so.

Impossible to say until you run the boat trimmed out and with a normal load of fuel, gear, passengers, etc.

Figure out how many rpms the engines are turning and THEN decide if they have to power to pull a bigger prop. You should be running 5000-5100 at WOT.

I doubt you will be able to pull 27's, maybe 25's. You need some time in the seat before trying different props
