??? My drives move about 6 inches

32 fever and my drives move about 6 inches in both directions side to side before my steering wheel moves. Any suggestions. No hydraulic steering. Bravo 1.

It is for sure not safe. That is a lot of slop, to be safe you should definetly have it looked at.

Make sure it's not in your steering cable components, before you go pulling drives and cutting holes. Do they both move freely together as 1 in unisun, or seperately like they are not connected together?

I think the early-mid 90's hyd steering was an option????

The move together freely about 5 inches without wheel turning
They both move together.

Then look at steering cable and all connections.

If the drives were able to be moved toward and out from each other, then the problem would have more likely been the steering pin and gimble ring. But doesn't sound like that's the case here. Non external hyd steering setups do have some free play, but not 6". Dig into it.
