Who is coming to Jammin of the James?

I was talking to Mark S president of the RPBA and he said that there are going to be 3 starts this year, fast cats, fast V's and the rest (I guess the cats were scared :lolhit:) So who in the Fountain nation is coming?

mcraymond3 06-19-2011 07:54 PM

I am! What start will I be in? :drink:

RBH 06-19-2011 08:43 PM

Hey Mark
We are bringing three or four Fountains from Nashville, all will be in the 100+ group if that's the fast V's.
Almost forget 1 Acitve Thunder

PS
It took me about four days to get over Jacksonville!
I owe someone $$ for the booth Saturday night.

Slug-ger 06-20-2011 09:01 AM

NSF ? Alot going on these days with family, probably will be a spur of the moment decision.

Jacksonville FL............................ You Tenn. guys set the bar high for sure!

If they had starts for the fastest CC or best looking crew you would have to decide

Excellent... there is going to be a ridiculous fleet of Fountains at this run(a couple not seen before)...I think the booth in Jax was picked up by Mark and Gerald so we'll make sure that all their drinks are paid for Friday and Saturday nights

Looks like someone told on me...Sleeping in the hall just means you had a large time.

Bullhead,
I think I have read that it is 100 miles one way. Is there 93 octane available on the water.
Thanks,
Allen

You guys are making a helluva showing this year. Over 100 boats and we have 19 Fountains registered. We also have more Active Thunders than Cigarettes this year :drink:

RBH 06-30-2011 08:54 AM

The Nashville Crew will be there Thursday afternoon!

Have fun, be safe, and remind them all why Fountains are so popular.

Knew a month ago that weather delays this spring had pushed busy work time back to this event, kept holding out hoping there was a way to make it. Not happening.
Take lots of pics and vids, we will make it next year and hope to meet up with many of you at other events soon.

Bullhead 07-07-2011 11:35 AM

Sorry you are not going to make it Kelly.....your boat would have been a perfect fit with this group....see you next year

Bullhead 07-11-2011 03:16 PM

thanks to all the Fountain guys who made it to the run....at one point after the first card stop when the river got wide we had six 42's, a 47, a 38, and a 32 all "cruising" at 100 mph...too bad the helo wasn't around, it would have made an incredible photo

I am sure you guys got some group photos, so lets see 'em.

The TN crew did not fill the 35 ft. void in that 100 mph parade ?

So who was the fastest of the family ???

Kelly one of the 35's didn't make the trip due to a change with there work schedule. The other 35 had a distributor problem Saturday at start up time. We left it at the dock and put everyone in our 42.(no man, woman or cooler left behind)...we had a great day. Maybe we all can get together at LOTO or Key West.

Mark it was good to see you and Nancy along with Brian and Sara....Hope to see you guys at LOTO. Sorry about not making it to the bar for shots Saturday night, we were in the boat headed back to the dock at 7:00 am Sunday morning.......loaded up and travelling at 9:00 am....got home about 10 hours later, it was a long day but worth it.

Drug the 35' 630 miles one way for one motor not to start. We put in Friday and could not get one motor to start, changed modules at the ramp, started and ran 6 or 7 miles up the river brought it back and tied it up not thinking another thing about it. Saturday morning roles around and same motor will not start, put another module in and still will not start. Got it back home and plugged a diode into one of the injectors and put a timing light on it and no spark or injector pulse. Bad pick up coil. 2 new complete distributors order this morning. Will be back and running for the weekend at Knoxville Poker Run.

I wound up riding with RBH and having a great time.

Can not tell you who was the fastest as bascally the group cruised at about 105. It was more like a joy ride rather than a race.
Allen

Kelly O 07-12-2011 05:57 AM

That is tough luck for sure. No warning on most ignition failures, they just happen.

Glad a good time was had anyway. Those of you that put the time and effort in to be there deserve recognition. Trips like that take energy, funds, and time. 105 seems like a comfortable cruise pace, given that group of boats.:drink:

Wildman_grafix 07-12-2011 04:41 PM
