If you replace the heads (last remaining 525 parts I'm guessing) shouldn't there be enough take off parts to build 2 complete 525s for spare motors? But if so leave them stock!

I backed the rocker arms off and the springs didn't move. They stayed compressed. I had to use a torch, jack hammer and a backhoe to remove them.....so you need new heads as well. :)
Course this only works for 1 revolution. But them that shouldn't be a problem on this boat. :) |
$200K + in drives/motors and the boat has Bob's graphics on it. All go, no show. Wait.... No go, no show at the moment!! :stooges:

Leave them be! That's how I set my high compression motors up to help them spin over easy for starting. Think ' compression release'.

We replaced the heads when we built them. When I got them, pretty much nothing was worth a damn. I think we used the block, supercharger and intake. They wanted more power, so the Eagle crank and rods (that shouldn't have been in there in the first place) got replaced, along with the 7 different size, shape and style pistons, both coated and non-coated.
