And I am going to say one more time it was only the Starboard motor that was getting hurt not both........... 10X made the best statement above and I am all done commenting on this thread. DENNY here is the schedule I had to work with Note I had 4 days to order 3 custom pistons, Build the motor and have shipped back out in 2 days they cannot even do that on junk yard wars !! SCHEDULE I would like to start off by thanking everyone for trying to pull this whole thing together last week. Even though it didn’t quite work out, I feel confident that we are moving in the right direction. Below please find a schedule that I put together, which I feel is doable…it will be tight, but if everyone tries to make this a priority then I believe we can accomplish the dates. Please advise if I am off base.

9-6-11 (Today) Stbd Motor ships out this afternoon from RF to TC AND RF ships all 4 headers to CMI

9-8-11 Motor Arrives @ TC (Headers should arrive @ CMI as well)

9-8 – 9-12 TC repairs Stbd Motor (TC will stud head on Stbd motor prior to shipping to RF…he will stud Port Motor when he returns to RF to tune)

9-12 TC ships motor to RF (PM Pickup @ TC)

9-14 Motor and Headers Arrive @ RF (TC flys into NC in PM)

9-15 – 9-16 TC/RF install head studs on port motor, install stbd motor, install headers, lake test, tune….etc.

9-16 Seeley’s arrive in NC late afternoon/evening

9-17 Rip **** on Pamlico river with everyone….(My driver/hauler should be @ RF by around 5pm….if my truck doesn’t **** up again. LOL.)

9-18 Seeley’s fly out of NC

Additional notes for TC/RF

Tyler:

Please order and install the MSD upgraded ignition you talked to me about on BOTH motors.
Remember to bring Port motor head studs with you or make sure to ship them to RF
Please test all injectors on Stbd motor like we talked about.
Test intercooler…just to be safe

RF:

Please have trailer gone through…brakes, lights, bearings, etc.

Thanks!

The funny thing about this whole schedule....is that you didn't get the motors back to RF until 10-21.....Thats only 5 weeks late....but who's counting?

Please....lets stop this...I dont want to bring out any more ammo...but I will if I have too.

I'm sure this thread will continue with the back and forth jabs, but I would like to hear how the rebuild is going with updates/pics. Eric, how about starting a new thread (a positive one, no mention of Tyler) that documents things moving forward with Eddie? I think it would be good for your soul right now to have a positive thread that gets you excited about boating again. :ernaehrung004:

This is the interweb, the drama would spill to any thread on the subject

I tried to do that...but unfortunately it went this direction.....temporarily.

However, I could not agree with you more. I would like to get this thing back on track...and keep in going in a positive direction. I think all can agree that I have been pretty upbeat considering all the crap that has gone down..and I have no intention of changing that from here on out. Lets just keep the thread as it is...with well over 50k views...I think its a good idea so those that have been following it can keep informed. I will get in touch with Eddie today and see if he can post some info/pics for everyone.

Again, thanks for everyone's interest/support.

Eric

Good enough! And yes, you have been very upbeat under the circumstances....

50K views? Dude, get your business name and info on here. Maybe some business will come your way. At the least you could write all this off as "advertising".

I shared this with my good neighbor who builds car engines. Not marine but he knows more than me.

And hang in there you're in the home stretch with Ed.

First thing noted is welding on heads??????

If I built 975 hp motor this would be NEW HEADS not welded on used ones…….

Gotta pay to play….

next reply
I know from my dealings that eagle rods ARE not the best and are used on lots of BUDGET Builds on cars … they work fine on them….. but 900 hp supercharged boat

9PSi that’s big league stuff

Hi HP stuff should look elsewhere for parts…..

Again……

there is risk with performance parts every time you turn the key

Bet your glad it was not your boat…. OUCH

It really sounds like you are in good hands now for sure. It also sounds like Tyler did the best he could. And he did not try to screw anyone. But he did the best he was able to do.

If you have trouble with your current engine builder ( I'm sure you won't, but) . You could count on my personal engine builder. Bill Dunsmore Marine. ( He built the motors in Paul Tracy's cat.) His work is very reliable, very precise and resonable. If I need anything on my Merc 575's. He will be my first choice.

Good LUCK!

TRL - Eddie

What kind of shape are the Eagle parts in? 4.25 crank and 6.135 rods? I might be interested...
